Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I typically work out in the mornings as soon as I wake up and then shower immediately after. Knowing this, should I wash my face before I work out, rinse water on it, or just workout and then wash after? I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. So, I am trying to avoid washing more than twice a day. Also, most times on weekends, I will have to work around the house, etc. and then later in the day go out with friends. My initial thought is to wash three times on these days (when I wake up, when I shower, and before I go to bed). Do you have a different thought on this?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
It is a good idea to wash your face with water before a workout to remove oil produced during sleep. Then your skin is free to breathe and secrete oil which will not be accumulated.
I highly recommend it.
Thank you.
