Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have experienced acne in the past, but here it is getting hotter. Therefore I realized I get more spots. I do not wear makeup in the summer and deep cleanse my face every other day. What could I do to stop it, and what is causing this?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Pimple is somewhat hormonal and due to oily skin. I suggest you take the following steps:

1. Do not use hair oil and any sticky cream on your face.

2. Avoid oily food, chocolate, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust, use sunscreen (above 30 SPF- sun protecting factor).

4. Do not rub any cream on the face

5. Do not use any steroid creams

6. Continue treatment for at least one month.

7. Facewash or soap is not a treatment and is not much useful.

8. Do not touch acne and avoid pressing it.

For treatment, I suggest you take:

1. Clindamycin (Clintop, Facelin, Clear gel). This is more preventive and curative, so I tell patients to use it all over the face in the morning

2. Adapalene gel (Adalene, Defferine). Use it over acne at night.

3. Tablet Doxycycline 100 mg once a day.

I hope this helps you.

Warm regards.
