Hello doctor,

I have had severe acne. I have everything from blackheads to filled pores to regular acne, whiteheads, and cystic acne covering my face. I have tried diet change, dozens of different face washes, drinking tons of water, tea tree oil, witch hazel, toothpaste, birth control, face masks, and basically everything (non-medicinal) you can think of. Nothing works. My face is constantly hurting. My mom is completely against medicine and taking me to a dermatologist because she thinks there is always some kind of natural home remedy we can try. I recently turned 18, and I am sick and tired of having a nasty face. I am so self-conscious. I would like to know if there are any home remedies that are just amazing. Kindly help.

Pimple is due to hormonal changes. Please follow the suggestions listed below.

Avoid oily food, chocolates, and milk products.
Avoid dust, and use sunscreen above 30 SPF (skin protection factor).
Do not use any steroid creams.
Continue treatment for at least one month
Facewash or soap is not of much use.
Do not touch acne, and avoid pressing it.
Apply Clindamycin gel all over the face in the morning.
Apply Adapalene gel over the acne at night.
Do not use hair oil or any sticky cream on the face.
