HomeAnswersDermatologyacneI recently developed pus filled acne and blackheads on my forehead. Please help.

Can the acne on my forehead be due to an ear fistula?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I woke up the other morning with what looked like new acne and blackheads on my forehead. As the day went on, the spots got bigger and started spreading. They filled up with fluid n busted open where a bloody waxy, oily pus oozed out of them. As I tried squeezing on them to get all the fluid out, I watched the fluid move under my skin down my cheeks, where it continued to bust open n ooze out all over my face. I now have big red sores all over my cheeks. I have also always had ear problems n still have tubes in my ears as an adult. I did lots of research online, trying to figure out what was happening with my face. It sounds similar to a lesion or some facial or ear fistula, but I did not get any clear answers, so I decided to reach out to you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through your case. I suggest you apply Clindamycin gel two times daily on any pimple you have or pus-filled lesion. Remember to apply only on lesions. Add anti-acne face wash. Your ear problem looks to be a separate one but always try to send a picture for any online opinion. Drink plenty of water and juices. Never excoriate or pluck your pimple, or you will get bad scarring or pigmentation.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
