Are abdominal pain, delayed periods, nausea, and a thick creamy vaginal discharge signs of pregnancy?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I wanted to get pregnant. We have been trying for the baby and had sex during my ovulation period. Now, my period is delayed and I am feeling sick. I also vomited and had abdominal pain. I am also having a thick creamy discharge. Is there a chance of me getting pregnant?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I suggest you provide your full medical and drug history. I suggest you do a serum beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) blood pregnancy test. Urine pregnancy test in early pregnancy is mostly confusing as it is unable to detect pregnancy hormones. Similarly, transvaginal scans are also unable to detect very early pregnancy. A serum beta hCG test will be helpful in such cases. I also suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,

1. Take a tablet of Folic Acid 0.4 milligrams daily.

2. Quit recreational drugs as these can reduce fertility and causes congenital anomalies.

3. Have a healthy diet.

4. Take a tablet of Cyclizine (antiemetic) 30 minutes before a meal.

5. For vaginal discharge, I suggest you can have a vaginal pessary Canesten S (Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone) on alternate Nights to eliminate the infection.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
