Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27 year old male. I am suffering from anal fistula for the last four years. I get pain in the anal region because of this. I just wanted to know whether this will affect my sexual strength. I am feeling difficult to get a good erection also. I have done a scanning and I am going for a surgery. I need an expert advice for the same.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. The primary curative approach for fistula typically involves surgical intervention, as only a small number of anal fistula cases resolve spontaneously. Prior to the surgery, an examination under anesthesia might be necessary to determine the optimal surgical strategy for your specific condition. The procedure itself is conducted under general anesthesia, with the goal of eliminating the fistula while preserving the integrity of the anal sphincter muscles. Hospitalization following anal fistula surgery is generally brief, and patients typically achieve full recovery within a span of two weeks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
