Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son is 3 years old. He eats too much chocolates and sweets. His health is down and having anus itching. He has worms. What to do? I am very sad and upset about his health.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

1. No need to worry much, as the perianal itch is due to pinworm most of the times. It can easily be treated with antihelmintics combined with hand and other hygiene.

2. Kindly meet your doctor for dose of the drug and proper prescription.

3. Eating lots of sweets has no relation to having worms as worms are transmitted in feco-oral route, which can be avoided by proper hand hygiene.

4. Also, sweets are not good for health. So, in a phased manner you can eliminate sweets from his diet by behavioral modification. No hurry in doing that.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
