Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had anal sex without protection for the first time. I got a little feces on my penis after it, but I immediately washed it off with soap. She said she got tested negative for STDs two years ago, and she did not have sex after that. I want to know more about the risks. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Sexual intercourse without a condom or any barrier contraceptive is always risky. Do not follow such a routine. Now coming to this episode, we see chances of infections are there, but we cannot predict now. Getting STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) is also associated with anal intercourse. If you develop any symptoms on the genitals, immediately contact a doctor. I suggest you use betadine rinse for genitals for three days. Since she tested for STDs and is negative, chances are less for you getting anything, but the risk is always there. So be careful next time. I hope this helps.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply. How high are the risks? Should I be worried? What are some immediate precautions I have to take? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. See, we cannot predict risk because it depends on your partner's sexual behavior. If she has multiple sex partners or does she follow the safe sexual practice, or if she had any sexual contact with a high-risk person like a drug addict or with someone who has a risky lifestyle. You can get yourself checked if you are worried about it. Get your tests done. No precautions as such you can take now because every STD has a different treatment, so if you have any, a diagnosis is a must before starting treatment. Get yourself examined by a doctor once. I suggest you wash your genitals with betadine wash for seven days. I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
