Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I checked my left eye for light sensitivity, mild redness, and pain. The optometrist said he saw a few white blood cells and dryness in the eye. His diagnosis was keratitis, but he said only to take the drops he prescribed (Tobradex). I am worried. Could the white blood cells present indicate that my body is fighting against infection? Should I continue taking the eye drops? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern. The white blood cells in the anterior chamber of the eye signify uveitis. This needs treatment with steroid eyedrops. I suggest you continue using the eye drops as prescribed by your doctor. I hope this has helped you. Thanks and regards.
