Since a week or so, I have started to feel pain and itching in the tip of my penis and the foreskin. It is painful to pull back the foreskin. Also when I have passed urine, the head and the foreskin tip feels very itchy and I get burning sensation. The head looks discolored. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

With your descriptions, it seems either you have balanitis or urethritis. Do you have any history of unprotected sex?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have a single sex partner and have always had unprotected sex. However, I have not had sex for quite some time now. Also, I do not feel any pain in the bladder while passing urine. It is just the burning sensation on the penis head and foreskin and it goes away in a minute. I think it might be balanitis as you said. What medication or treatment can I take for it?

Answered by Dr. Suvash Sahu

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for sharing relevant information.

Yes, then it is a balanitis. I suggest you use topical Clotrimazole cream and Fusidic acid cream local application twice daily and take the tablet Fluconazole 150 mg once a week for four weeks after consulting your general practitioner or nearby dermatologist.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
