Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had lazy eyes for years, so I wear glasses and await my number to be stable enough for surgery. So overall, I was on my laptop for huge hours. It has been twice that I saw black spots not that major that are shown on the internet, but like when you see something so bright, your vision needs adjustment that sort, but it keeps happening during work hours such that I cannot work on the laptop anymore I have to keep it aside. What to do? Kindly help. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Overusing computers and smartphones causes dry eyes due to decreased blink rate. Take frequent breaks. Look at far objects as eyes are strained looking at close objects for a long time. Keep brightness to a minimum. Use Flogel HA Eye Drops (Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1 %) 3 times daily. Use Antiglare glasses. Do this for a month, and if black spots persist, you can follow up. How often do you see black spots? Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
