Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

At 20 years of age, blackheads, whiteheads, dark spots, and dark circles are very common and completely treatable with the right routine. I will guide you step by step in a simple and safe way.

Your blackheads and whiteheads are forms of comedonal acne. These occur when oil and dead skin cells clog the pores. The key is regular exfoliation and oil control.

Cleanse your face twice daily with a mild, non-soap face wash, followed by a light, barrier-repairing moisturizer. Avoid scrubs, harsh exfoliants, or frequent facials, as these can worsen pores and make the skin look older. Daily sunscreen is extremely important, even if you stay indoors, as sun exposure worsens pigmentation and enlarges pores over time.

For blackheads and whiteheads, apply a pea-sized amount of Adapalene gel in the evening, but leave it on for only 2 hours at first. Apply a layer of moisturizer before applying it, and wash your face after 2 hours to avoid irritation. After the first month, you can stretch that to four hours.

For pigmentation, acne marks, and post-inflammatory scars, Azelaic acid 15% cream (Aziderm 15%) is a good starting point. Apply it at night under a light moisturizer two to three nights a week to begin with. Your skin will tell you when it's ready to handle more frequent use. It works by unclogging pores, fading pigmentation, and evening out skin tone, without thinning or sensitizing the skin.

Dark circles rarely have one single cause. Genetics, thin under-eye skin, poor sleep, stress, and low iron or vitamin B12 can all play a role. Get your serum iron and B12 checked. Beyond that sleep well, stay hydrated, cut screen time, stop rubbing your eyes, and protect the under-eye area from sun exposure.

With a simple, protective routine and consistent use of sunscreen and Azelaic acid, you should gradually notice improvement in overall brightness, marks, and texture over the next few months. Consistency and patience are more important than adding multiple strong products.

I hope this has helped you.

Please feel free to reach out to me again if you have further queries.

Thank you.
