Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My age is 18. I have not brushed my teeth for a year now. When I brush my teeth, my gums bleed with no pain. Now, I am concerned about it. Is there any way to stop it at home?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Your gums seem severely infected and inflamed (attachments are removed to protect the patient’s identity). The first oral mistake is a lack of proper tooth brushing and not using the right brushing technique. The second thing is harboring either negative misconceptions about going to the dentist or feeling fear of any procedures. You can improve your oral health better by using Chlorhexidine mouthwash twice a day, but if your gums have deposits and you are swallowing those harmful bacteria every day without dental scaling professionally, no matter what home measures you take, it is not going to help. Ranging from simple gum infections to oral pre-cancer and tissue cancers that are exceedingly common now across the world. Your regular visits to the dentist would indeed be a mandatory protocol in the current scenario.
I will tell you in detail how you can control your dental infection. I will give you multiple remedies, and if you need motivation to visit the local dentist, I will help. You also need short-term antibiotic prophylaxis, or the bleeding gums will tend to have an infectious or lymphatic spread further. In the absence of proper tooth brushing, abscess formation takes place.
I hope this information helps you.
