Hello,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I have reviewed your case history and attached images (attachments have been removed to protect the patient's identity) of your stools.

Your stools are always formed with slight variations of colors and alarming colors would include fresh red blood in stools, maroon-colored stools, or black stools. This might be because of a high fiber diet or eating unusual meals like eating out or having reheated meals. I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions.

  1. A few simple investigations like complete blood profile, CRP (C-reactive protein), and stool detailed report (SDR) would help to establish any infection in your stools.
  2. Meanwhile, I would suggest adding regular probiotics to your diet, like commercially available probiotics sachet or capsules once daily for two to three weeks, add yogurt to your diet too.
  3. Acid suppression medicine like Pantoprazole 40 mg half hour before breakfast for 7 to 10 days along with an antacid syrup post meals would help too for one to two weeks.
  4. Avoid eating out, drinking if any, and avoid reheated meals for a couple of days.
  5. Sometimes if there is evidence of infection on microscopic examination of your stools, you might need a short course of antibiotics.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
