Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a nose block, sneezing, itching in the eye, swelling slightly below the eyes, and I am unable to sleep at night. Cold items are fatal as the problem increases suddenly by these, even curd, fruits are deadly.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are suffering from allergic rhinitis, which is a chronic condition and is aggravated by cold and foods to which the patient is allergic. There are two options:

Antiallergic meds, preferably a combination of Levocetirizine and Monteleukast at bedtime, along with Fluticasone nasal spray twice daily. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and start taking the medicines with their consent.

Desensitization, for which you will have to go for a skin prick test to see which things you are allergic to, which then could be desensitized.

Regards.
