Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had my last period for nearly a month. I also had lot of blood clots. I do not know if this is normal or not. But prior to this I did not have periods for nearly six months.

Please help me with this, doctor.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

As per your description, these symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance. But as you missed your period, it could be an anovulatory cycle.

Get your pelvic ultrasound to see the endometrial thickness. Then, dilation and curettage with mirena insertion can be done if required. Get your thyroid profile and hemoglobin tests also.

For excessive bleeding, you can use tablet Tranexamic acid (consult with a specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take medicine with their consent).

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
