Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Yesterday, I got my eyes checked for the first time in years, and I was starting to have blurred vision, especially in the right eye. The possible reasons could be cellphone usage, excessive stress, and almost daily crying. I was suggested that I should get glasses for myopia, but I do not want to get glasses. Please answer the following queries: Please do tell me what your advice is. How do you read the test results? Is there any other way other than Lasik? The one which does not involve the use of laser? Anyway, can these be cured or healed? What is the recommended diet, things to eat, exercises, any other changes that might improve my situation? Will using the glasses for reading affect near vision? My vision is 5/6, and I was trying for some dietary changes. If possible, something that would give strength to my weak eyes? Also, I am having constant headaches, and my right eye feels like it is completely gone, blurred out. Please answer all the queries.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your glasses prescription shows that you have myopia. The rest of your eye appears normal. Now coming to your questions, wear glasses. They are the best method to achieve a clear vision in myopia. You have myopia with slight astigmatism. Requires refractive correction by glasses or other methods. You can try contact lenses. Once your spectacle number becomes stable over one year, you can go for ICL (implantable collamer lens) implant in your eyes. It is a lens that is put inside your eye. At your age, unfortunately, myopia cannot be cured. However, regular eye exercises like focusing on near things and distance things may help a little. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables. No, wearing glasses will not affect your near vision. Take a lot of green leafy vegetables and fruits which are orange or red color like papaya, carrot, etc. Once you start wearing glasses, the headache should reduce. Please follow up for any more queries. Regards.
