Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been experiencing blurry vision. I have been examined by an eye specialist many times, and there is nothing wrong with my eyes. The blurring occurs in one eye for 15 to 20 minutes only, but I can still see things with blurring. After the blurring, I always get a headache.

I had a blood examination for vitamin D, vitamin B12, and ferritin. And I was diagnosed to have iron deficiency.

I have attached my blood test results.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern, and I would explain that your symptoms could suggest migraines with an ocular aura. Sometimes aura may not be associated with headaches, and sometimes migraine headaches are not typical.

Your blood test reports indicate low zinc, magnesium, and iron levels (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity). For this reason, I would recommend taking a supplement containing magnesium, zinc, and iron. I would also recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical examination.

1) Is the headache is of throbbing type?

2) Can you tolerate the light during the headaches?

3) Do you have nausea during these moments?

I hope you will find this information helpful.

Regards.
