I have a 0.31-inch gestational sac. Why am I mildly bleeding?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My last USG report showed intrauterine pregnancy with a 0.31-inch gestation sac, no fetal and yolk sac. Last week, I had brown discharge with mild lower abdominal pain and was prescribed Susten 200 milligrams (oral).

Now, I am feeling the pain frequently in the right lower abdomen with mild bleeding. It is less when I lie on the bed.

What to do?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read through your question and understand your concerns.

I think it is a threat to abortion. You should take bed rest. Also, I suggest you take the tablet Susten 200 mg (Progesterone) twice daily for two weeks and the Mbryosafe sachet once daily (L-arginine). Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent.

I think it will help you and give you a better prognosis. After two weeks, an ultrasound is required for evaluation.

I hope this helps.

Thank you, and take care.
