Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a couple of small bumps that are painless around my penis, two of them are bigger than others. It does not cause any pain, but I would like to know what it is and how to get it treated. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Differential diagnosis based on your symptoms are fordyce spots or pearly penile papules. They are harmless benign, usually do not require treatment. I suggest you to follow the below instructions. Wash genitals with Episoft cleanser (Cetearyl alcohol and Cetostearyl alcohol) or Cetaphil cleanser (Cetyl alcohol) daily. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Apply Fucidin cream (Fusidic acid 2%) twice daily for seven days. Avoid scratching and rubbing. Avoid occlusion or friction. I hope this helps.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply. I have attached the files again. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It is folliculitis (secondary bacterial infection) with Fordyce spots. I suggest you to follow below instructions. Apply Fucidin (Fusidic acid 2%) cream twice daily for seven days. Take Tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg once in a day after food for five days. Wash genitals with suitable cleanser or no soap cleanser daily. Apply Miconazole cream at night for three weeks on inflammatory lesions below scrotum. Take Tablet Teczine-M (Levocetirizine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg) once at night after food for seven days if itching or irritation present. Use Azac soap (Azelaic acid 1.6 %) for bath for one month. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Avoid scratching, rubbing, popping or pricking the lesion. Avoid injury, moisture, friction or occlusion. Avoid using scented lotions or moisturizer. Avoid use of harsh soaps. Wear loose comfortable thin cotton inners. Keep the area cool, clean and dry. I hope this helps. Regards.
