This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I underwent gallbladder surgery 16 days ago. There is a white discharge and pain in the incised area. Should I be concerned about the infection? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

According to your symptoms, it is cellulitis.

1. Clean the skin with Hydrogen peroxide.

2. Apply Betadine cream over the affected area.

3. Use a sterile bandage.

4. Eat capsule Clavam (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg twice daily for five days.

Do follow-ups daily in the evenings for five days.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
