Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old male. Yesterday morning I felt a sharp pain near my mid-left chest. The pain did not last very long, but it was noticeable. I have no medical issues, and I am taking the tablet Pantop-D SR for gastritis. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The three most common causes of chest pain are gastritis, muscular pain, and heart issues.

You are already taking the tablet Pantop-D SR (Domperidone + Pantoprazole) for gastritis. I would advise taking syrup Gelusil (antacid), two teaspoons full twice daily, and capsule Epripride (Eperisone HCl + Diclofenac sodium) 5 mg thrice daily.

You can take the tablet Flexon MR (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol + Chlorzoxazone). You have to take one tablet twice daily for three days, and it will be fine.

The third is the most important, heart issues. Get an ECG (electrocardiogram) done to rule that out. If ECG is normal, you can relax that your heart is fine, and there is nothing to worry about. Considering your age, heart issues are very less likely. But still, I would advise getting an ECG done for your relief and satisfaction.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.
