Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old and am currently on my 12th day of chickenpox. I have been using calamine lotion and a serum containing vitamin C and vitamin E. I took Azithromycin 500 mg, Cetirizine 10 mg, and Paracetamol, but I am not taking any medicine now. My blood pressure stays usually a bit low. Some blisters have dried, but some remain, and two have left small depressions on my face. I am worried about more depressions forming. Please advise on how to prevent and treat these depressions. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. I suggest you apply Mupirocin cream or Fucidin cream twice daily for ten days. Wash your face with mild soap for two months. I also suggest you undergo a complete blood workup with a differential count. Also, follow up with these reports. I also need to know some more information, such as below:

  1. Do you experience a burning or tingling sensation?
  2. Are there painful blisters?
  3. Have you had a fever?
  4. Do the lesions appear widespread?

Kindly follow up with the above asked information for further guidance. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
