Hello doctor,

I had something like plantar warts on my skin. The warts are not there now, but the skin has become dry and swells up in a white color when soaked in water for a long time. Please help.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you, doctor,

Here are the answers to your questions:

  1. I have never checked my diabetic status.
  2. No chronic illness or autoimmune disorder.
  3. I am not sure about the eczema on my hands, and there is no itching or pain in it.
  4. I took Zinc tablets and applied light salicylic acid to it.
  5. No contact with irritants or chemical contact.
  6. At first, I had warts on my feet, and then they spread to my fingers.
  7. I am a consulting engineer. No excess contact with water. I have normal contact like bathing and washing hands. Also, when I go for runs, I sweat a lot (too much).
  8. Nobody confirmed the presence of palmar warts. During the treatment, I checked the symptoms online and got to know about them. I have a similar lesion on my left thumb and ring fingers on both hands.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Are the lesions hard, thick, rough to feel or hyperkeratosis?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, it is rough to feel. Please suggest some other way to communicate.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is eczematous dermatitis. Use Topisal (Clobetasol propionate and Salicylic acid) 3 percent ointment at night for 15 days, Fucidin (Fusidic acid) cream at evening for 10 days, Moisturex soft cream twice daily for 15 days, and tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg at night for 10 days. Maintain proper hand hygiene. Avoid excess contact with water. Avoid scratching or rubbing lesions, as it may cause secondary bacterial infection.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
