Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My age is 20 (almost 21).

My weight is 275, and my height is 5’ 7”.

I am currently taking these medications: Effexor (150 mg), Abilify (2 mg), Mononessa, and vitamin D.

I was thinking of trying herbal cigarettes, but I am worried about their effects on my medications. I have an anxiety disorder, mild depression, OCD symptoms, and ADD (attention deficit disorder), and I think they might help. Which herbs should I stay away from?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing, and I understand your concern.

Herbal products usually do not cause any side effects, but smoking is not good, so you can avoid that if possible. Any kind of smoking is not good for the lungs. Eating and using herbal products for skin and other care is fine.

Can you please name the cigarette you want to try?

So I can say more specifically.

And please tell me what medicines are you taking currently?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

The ones I was thinking of trying have mugwort, rose petals, raspberry leaf, marshmallow leaf and lavender in it. I am on Effexor (150 mg), Abilify (2 mg), Mononessa and vitamin D.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing to us.

As I mentioned previously usually, these herbs will not lead to any complications, but smoking is not good for you. It will not cause any side effects, and the efficacy of medicine will be the same as you are taking.

And if you want to try, you should have a gap of four hours between your medicine and smoking.

And do not smoke much.

If it causes any symptoms or side effects, you should immediately stop.

Have you tried it before?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

No, I have not tried yet.
