Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son got circumcised six months ago. I am not sure if everything is fine. His penis now has two color tones. I worry the circumcision was done too tight. How to check if everything is fine? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your first query consult is on us!

I would like you to help me with a few details:

1. How old is your son?

2. Why was he circumcised? Was it because of phimosis (a condition where the foreskin is tight and can not be pulled back), an infection, or religious reasons?

3. Does he have any trouble passing urine currently?

Could you please upload a few photos so that I can evaluate the condition better?

I hope this information will help you. In case of further queries, please revert.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

My son is 13 years old now. He got circumcised when he was 12 years old. We just moved to a new country now. He got circumcised because of a tight foreskin. Now his foreskin is gone and his glans are free, but the skin feels a little tight. He has no problem while passing urine. I have attached a photo of him. Should I also take a picture of his penis?

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I have attached the pictures (attachments removed to protect patient identity) of my son's penis. Is it fine? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Once more, thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

We value the high level of confidence you have in us!

It looks completely normal based on the pictures you have shared. It is common for a difference in color between the skin and the circumcised area. This will settle down with time, and will all start looking similar. As far as the tightness is concerned, that too will settle. However, if it does not resolve in six to eight months, we will need to plan for a review. However, I really believe that with time it will settle down.

I hope this information will help you. In case of further queries, please revert.

Thank you.
