Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 30 year old male. I generally have constipation problem. Mostly, I use some laxatives or aryuvedic churnas to clear constipation. Whenever I have constipation, I feel my urine is blocked. I drink plenty of water daily. Also, I used to consume lots of water before going to bed. Earlier, I had to rush in the morning to urinate. Nowadays, I feel there is a problem of blocked urination along with constipation. Since last evening, I had lots of water. But, till noon I could not urinate with full pressure. I feel some tension below the bladder area. I also keep hygienic, but my clothes smell like urine. Right now, I could not urinate and it is coming like little drops. Also, my legs are paining. Please suggest something soon.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Chronic constipation is a challenging issue that significantly impacts one's quality of life and often lacks a definitive solution. Besides adopting a watery diet, managing it may involve the periodic use of bowel enemas and continuous reliance on laxatives. If you can apply enemas, consider doing so now to alleviate your bowel discomfort and potentially ease urination. It seems to be a mechanical obstruction of your urinary tract by the pressure of the rectum to the urinary ways or prostate. Chronic constipation might have led to an enlarged prostate and bladder weakness. If you find difficulty in urination even after defecation, seeking bladder catheterization at a healthcare center may be necessary. Remember to maintain a watery diet, incorporate high-fiber foods, fruits, and vegetables, and Use laxatives daily like Lactulose if needed. Regular physical activity is also essential in managing this condition.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
