Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have COVID-19. I am 27-year-old in good health otherwise. I did not have to be hospitalized and had a mild case. I had it for 3 to 4 days and have been exercising vigorously for 45 minutes on an exercise bike like I usually do. Today I read online articles saying you should not be exercising while sick, even if you have a mild case. I want to ensure I am safe because I am scared after reading about how COVID-19 affects the heart. A doctor's opinion would be valuable.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Cytokine from our immune system can destroy tissue and activate the coagulation cascade leading to clotting. In short, viruses cause our immune system to react, and virally infected cells in this process can damage normal cells. If normal cells are damaged, clotting or heart block can occur. Those who have already been immunized with vaccination are less frequently associated with heart risk. I advise you to keep measuring your SpO2 levels or oxygen saturation level. Please remain in isolation and take plenty of rest with good fluid intake.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
