Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I broke my front incisor in a car accident six years ago. The nerve was exposed. I never had insurance, so I did not get any treatment.

What procedures can be done, and what is the cheapest?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your front tooth would have been almost dead by now because of the sudden impact on the tooth itself six years ago. There are also high chances for the tooth to be discolored. I advise you to take an X-ray for that particular tooth. If any infection is present, you should go ahead with a root canal treatment followed by a tooth-colored filling to fix the broken part.

If there is no infection, you can get the tooth-colored filling directly done in a sitting, which is cheaper.

If the tooth has discoloration, then a filling might not work. In that case, root canal treatment, along with inside-the-tooth bleaching followed by filling and cap, is the best treatment.

I would also like to give you a suggestion. Always opt for long time results rather than choosing a cheaper fix. Discuss with your dentist about all the possibilities and decide accordingly.

Thank you.
