Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had (human papillomavirus) HPV symptoms, so I used the Condyline cutaneous solution and underwent cryotherapy to remove warts. However, my skin appears light after the treatment. I would like to know if this is scar tissue or something else.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can see that you have balanitis with a superficial fungal infection from the attached images (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). I suggest you apply Clotrimazole cream at night and wash the area with Dersil AF (Ketoconazole) body wash for 30 days (consult a specialist doctor, talk with him or her, and take medications with their consent). Maintain proper hygiene, and avoid scratching and rubbing of the lesions.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I would like to know whether I should use barriers or not.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I think you have post-exposure balanitis with a minor fungal infection. I suggest you practice safe sex. Do you have any burning sensation after applying the Condylin (podophyllotoxin) solution? Did you use latex, lubricants, or a fragrance-based moisturizer?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I have not used the Condyline solution for quite a long time. I had a burning sensation after I stopped using the solution. I have not used latex or lubricants for some time, but I use fragrance soaps to wash the area.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The lesions will vanish in 30 days if you follow the treatment. I suggest you wash the area with Cetaphil (Macadamia nut oil and Vitamin E) cleanser daily for 30 days (consult a specialist doctor, talk with him or her, and take medications with their consent). Avoid unprotected intercourse, and maintain proper genital hygiene. Did you undergo a biopsy or any other serological test in the past? Please attach the serological reports for proper diagnosis.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I have not undergone a biopsy or any other tests. I recently underwent cryotherapy, so I wanted to let everything heal. Do you believe it is post-exposure balanitis with a minor fungal infection? Do I have problems due to Condyline solution and cryotherapy treatment?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you use a mild cleanser and avoid chemical irritants or fragrance based moisturizers on the sensitive penile skin. I think you are allergic to Condylin (podophyllotoxin) solution.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
