Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had an abdominal CT done for pain in my lower abdomen, groin, and testicle that resulted after a sudden twisting movement. The report did not really address a cause for any of the pain, though when I was looking at the images, I noticed what appeared to be two stones of some sort on my right side. These were not mentioned at all in the report. I was wondering what they were. I am attaching the link to view the images.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have seen the images (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I understand your concern.
You might be referring to the two tiny stone-like densities to the right of the midline. Let me reassure you that it is not a stone which we are seeing. It is below the level of the junction between the urinary bladder and the ureter. These densities are likely due to a calcification in the small veins of the area and are called phleboliths. They are harmless and very common in the veins of the pelvis at your age.
Regards.
