Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have thick skin and dark underarms along with dark elbows, knees, and neck.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understand your concern.

My advice:

Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications after their consent.

  1. Apply Glyco 6 (Glycolic acid) cream during the day for six weeks (on dark underarms, elbows, knees, and neck).
  2. Apply Kojic (Kojic acid, Lactokine Fluid, Axeloglicina) cream at night for six weeks (on the dark patches).
  3. You can use lemon juice and cotton gauze to clean or scrub the dark area for 10 minutes as a home remedy.
  4. Use Kojic soap for the bath for a month.
  5. Take a tablet of Limcee (Ascorbic Acid) 500 mg once a day after breakfast for 30 days.
  6. Take a tablet of Antoxid-HC (Beta Carotene) once daily after dinner for 30 days.
  7. Avoid direct sunlight.
  8. Avoid friction.
  9. Reduce weight.
  10. Keep a check on the hormonal profile.
  11. Reduce stress.
  12. Eat healthy and nutritious food.
  13. Eat a diet rich in vitamins A and C.
  14. Eat papaya, berries, oranges, avocado, mangoes, carrots, etc.
  15. Drink plenty of water.
  16. Use photostable sunscreen for 30 minutes before going outdoors.

Thank you.
