I am going through a lot of mental health problems. My symptoms are depression, slow thinking, processing speed, hopelessness, avoiding people, dullness, problems coping with new situations, loss of spontaneity, fear of new things and marriage, difficulty thinking and understanding, mental decline, difficulty with self-care, lack of restraint. Most probably, you have been suffering from depression that is a mood disorder. There are several types of depression. When you visit a professional psychiatrist, he will ask you some questions to assess your present mental status, the kind of depression you have been suffering, and a treatment plan according to your depression status. So it is very important to find out the exact causes of your depression.

Depression may result from some psychological disorders, chronic diseases like arthritis, asthma, cardiac diseases, diabetes, carcinoma, obesity, thyroid disorders, etc. So some investigations may be needed to exclude the causes.
