Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 53-year-old woman who has been an insulin-dependent diabetic for the past many years. I have had diabetic ulcers on my foot and stomach. I have had laser in the back of my eyes for bleeding due to diabetes. I now have a cataract in that eye. I had a bypass heart surgery a few years back. I have higher creatinine levels also. I am on several medications to control my blood pressure, including medications for controlling cholesterol and iron pills for low hemoglobin. Recently, I joined a new job. I wanted to know if this is the right move with all my issues.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
It seems like you have quite a bit of complications with your diabetes. It really depends on your mental or functional capacity and how much your job permits you to keep your appointments. You would have to sit down and think about the cost of healthcare and any other benefits you are getting from this job. If your cardiac status is stable, and you can handle the stress I would say keep it. They say the more money the better, but obviously not at the stake of your health.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
