Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old female. I have been struggling with diarrhea for the past one year. It comes for 10-14 days, and it goes away for less than that. I have tried over the counter medication, which works, but the problem comes back as soon as I stop taking it. The diarrhea is very watery, light-colored, and twice it was even foamy. I am not sure what to do anymore. I am not on any current medication, and I have a stone of 8.5.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you mentioned, you had diarrhea on and off, which usually suggests an infection of the intestine. The primary root cause of all these problems is bacterial infection only. So, firstly if we treat your infection, everything will settle down slowly.

Can you please tell me what medications you are currently taking? Do you still get pain during diarrhea sometimes? Do you still have frequent urination?

Please take tablet Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day before meal. Drink more fluids.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am not taking any medication. Yes, sometimes I do get pains with diarrhea. And I do urinate frequently.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Please take tablet Ofloxacin 200 mg twice a day after meals for five days, tablet Ornidazole 500 mg twice daily after meal for five days, and tablet Omeprazole 40 mg once daily before meals for five days.

Follow up after five days. If you develop any other symptoms, please inform me.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Could you please send me a prescription through mail? I tried getting the antibiotics at the pharmacy, but they need a prescription.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

We cannot send the prescription through email. If you want, I can write your prescription here itself, and you can show them. These medicines are available over the counter.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
