Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I used to apply Acepark gel by park pharmaceutical to relieve pain or strain in muscles or joints. It is having a composition of Aceclofenac, Linseed oil, Methyl salicylate, and Menthol. It worked really well for me. But, I am not getting the same ointment now. Hence, please suggest alternative ointments with the same composition. I am looking forward to your positive reply.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have not used the gel which you have mentioned, but I can tell you that there are number of such ointments have very good results. I would like to suggest the following:

  1. Voveran TPM gel of Novartis.
  2. Ibugesic Nano gel from Cipla.
  3. Dynapar QPS spray from Troika.

All these are very good medication and have given good results in my patients. So, you can use them in your case as well.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply. I finally bought Voveran TPM Gel. How much effective is it as it contains mainly Diclofenac instead of Methyl salicylate?  Is there any side effects of using Voveran TPM Gel for muscle sprain or knee pain?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Voveran TPM gel is pretty good as I have been using it in my daily practise with good results. Also, it is from a very good company called as Novartis. There are no major side effects of this gel preparation provided you use it as per directions given. One tip I can tell you is thatgel application should always be done after fomentation and not vice versa. Because, it can lead to blistering as I have seen in some of my patients especially if hot fomentation is done at home for pain relief.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
