Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son had an allergic reaction about 24 hours ago. He took homeopathic medicine to help relieve his cold symptoms, and his lips swelled up very badly. There were no other symptoms. He took 50 mg of Benedryl last night, and the swelling is almost gone today. What do I do now? Does he need emergency care?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your problem.

Please check for these things.

1. Difficulty in breathing - any whistling or abnormal sounds while breathing?

2. Did he sleep well in the night after the swelling?

3. Any difficulty in swallowing - is he eating well?

If these things are fine, please take him to your physician in the next few days. If the things mentioned above are not fine, then consider it an emergency. If it is not an emergency, you can also review it with me.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
