Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I took 60 mg of Vicodin over two days down for pain. I have a drug test coming up. How long will it take to clear in my system? I am 25 years old, 5'9" height and 165 lbs weight having a pretty fast metabolism.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • Vicodin is a drug, which is a combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone.
  • Acetaminophen has a half-life of 4 hours and Hydrocodone has a half-life of 4 to 5 hours.
  • So, both drugs combination that is Vicodin can be completely washed out from the body within one day at the maximum.
  • To be on safer side, you can undergo the drug test after two to three days and drink lots of water although both drugs have hepatic metabolism. Take care.
