Hello doctor,
I have PCOS. I had my withdrawal bleeding from taking the tablet Meprate (Medroxyprogesterone) 10 mg for five days as prescribed by a doctor. On the 14th day of my cycle, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, but he pulled out before ejaculating. I also took an I-pill within three hours of intercourse. A few hours after taking theI-pill, I experienced clear, stretchy, and sticky discharge in my panties.
Am I ovulating? Can I get pregnant? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
As you are on the 14th day of your cycle, the discharge indicates that it is your fertile period, so chances of pregnancy were high, keeping in view that even pre cum contains live sperms. However, as you have rightly taken an I-pill within three hours of sex, this should protect you from unplanned pregnancy. The success rate of an I-pill taken within 72 hrs of intercourse is 99%.
Post the I-pill intake, you should expect a withdrawal bleed in the next three to seven days, indicating that you are pregnancy safe. If no bleeding happens until the next ten days, then take a blood serum beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) test to rule out pregnancy.
