Patient's Query

Hello, doctor,

I am 24 years old, and I do not believe that I have any serious health issues. However, I am experiencing a problem where my penis is not getting hard enough when I attempt to engage in sexual activity. As a result, I am unable to penetrate. I find this situation embarrassing, and I am not sure what could be causing it. Could you please provide some suggestions or advice?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. You may be experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED). Possible reasons for ED include:

  1. Stress related to work or family responsibilities, and night duties - Consider incorporating regular exercise and yoga into your routine to help manage stress.

  2. Depression.

  3. Varicocele - An ultrasound of the scrotum can assist in diagnosing this condition.

  4. Fear of failure - Experiencing ED once may lead to anxiety about future episodes.

  5. Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).

  6. Homosexuality - Not being attracted to the same sex.

  7. Religious constraints.

  8. Smoking and alcohol consumption.

  9. Long-term illnesses - Such as cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other condition requiring prolonged medication use.

  10. Simple vitamin deficiencies - You can try taking supplements such as Zincovit (vitamins A, B complex, C, D, and E, minerals and Zinc) and Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3).

  11. Negative attitude towards your partner.

  12. Hormonal issues - Such as thyroid problems, low testosterone, or increased prolactin levels.

  13. Long-term drug usage.

  14. Diabetes and hypertension.

To determine the cause, it is recommended to undergo tests such as Doppler penis, USG (ultrasound) pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine), testosterone, and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). Providing additional details related to the above reasons can help with the diagnosis and treatment plan.

In addition, it is advised to incorporate regular exercise and a proper diet. Here is a list of exercises you can consider:

    1. Basic exercises such as kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes (basic exercises).

    2. For missionary sex positions planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, and glute bridges.

    3. For standing sex position bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats.

    4. For doggy style position jump squats, and walking lunges.

    5. For cowgirl or girl on top position glute bridges, and leg raises.

In terms of food, you can try incorporating strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a small amount of chocolate into your diet. For a temporary solution, I suggest you take the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5mg twice a day. Also, consult with your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.

I hope your queries are resolved and any further queries are welcome.
