Hello doctor,

I am a 26-year-old newly married man and I have masturbated a lot before marriage. Now I think I might have erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. My wife and I love each other and also enjoy our private time. I do get an erection for a while and also stays hard when I lie down flat. But during intercourse, it loses its grith before penetration. It is embarrassing that I cannot penetrate and my wife is still a virgin. She understands my conditions, except for penetration. My family doctor prescribed Tribulus Terrestris for three months and asked me to take two tablets per day at night. I just had it for one day. I am not sure if it will work. I do not want to try sildenafil or something without knowing if it will work. I have checked and I do not have a sugar problem. Please help.

I can understand your concern. Tribulus terrestris is made of many natural substances and has some evidence in favor. Although it is not something that the company claims I have at least five to six patients who were successfully treated with the use of Tribulus terrestris only and the same can be expected in your case. However, I would like to clarify that masturbation is not known to cause any side effects and any guilt associated with it should be removed. In other words, do not blame harmless things as the cause of your ongoing issues with erection. This is unlikely to help you and may complicate the problem.
