What should be done to recover from headaches, dizziness, nervousness, and frequent sleepiness due to low exam scores?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I scored less in my medical entrance exam. Since then, I have had headaches all the time. I feel dizzy and use the phone all time. I am a bit nervous if I could get university admission. So, I keep myself lonely and always use my phone to make me happy. I also sleep for a long time and multiple times a day. Please suggest your opinion on this.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. You are under stress due to self-over-expectations. So, I suggest the following. Find out your strength and weakness. Find reasons or places where you lose your marks. Work on your failure and make improvements. Take the help of seniors or colleagues, or teachers for exam preparation. Do wise and hard work. Make a proper schedule and stick with it. Do not just prepare for exams but have some fun and take small breaks. Do daily exercise, like going for a walk for 20 to 30 minutes. Do daily meditation for ten minutes. It will relax as well as increase concentration. Spend time on your creative hobbies like reading good books, listening to songs, or painting or drawing. Stop over the use of your phone. Take enough sleep daily for at least six to seven hours. Live your life. Be bold and confident about yourself. Love and respect yourself.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
