Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I vomited two to three times yesterday. I have been feeling very cold and am shivering since midnight. I checked my temperature, it is 101 degree Fahrenheit. I have to catch a flight tomorrow. Please suggest what should I do.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern,I assume that since you have a flight tomorrow, you might have got your RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) COVID test done by now and it must have been negative since you have not mentioned it in your query. Considering other possibilities, you may have caught a viral infection(very common in India in this season). I suggest you take a five day treatment with the following medications and you should be completely fine.

1. Tablet Sinarest(paracetamol 500mg, phenylephrine 10mg and chlorpheniramine malware 2 mg) one tablet twice a day.

2. Tablet Azee(azithromycin 500 mg) once a day.

3. Tablet Montair FX (montelukast 10 mg and fexofenadine 120mg) one tablet twice day.

4. Xylometazoline nasal drops thrice a day.

Since you will be travelling tomorrow, I suggest taking one tablet each of Sinarest and Montair fX and Xylometazoline nasal drops an hour before entering the airport. This will suppress your symptoms for three hours and you can evade the checking system at airport. But make sure you have a negative RT-PCR COVID test report. Hope this is helpful.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
