Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am not able to walk properly since a bus ran over my foot. Please help. I am attaching an x-ray of the foot.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • Your x-ray (attachment removed to protect patient identity) seems to be fine, but it is not clear. So, consult a traumatologist or radiologist with a clear picture. And your medical history lacks complete information.
  • However, limp after a trauma could be caused by dislocation, tendonitis or ankle tendon tear, etc. Please consider consulting a traumatologist for clinical examination with an x-ray to avoid future mobility disorder.
  • Until then, try the following. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking medicine after their consent.
  1. I suggest taking painkillers such as Ibuprofen 200 mg, twice daily, to reduce inflammation and temporary relief, if gastric ulcers are absent.
  2. Avoid bearing weight on the foot.
  3. Try going for physiotherapy.
  • I hope this answers your question, please try to be more specific about your query next time.
