What causes frequent little urination throughout the day?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have an issue of frequent but little amount of urination. I need to urinate 15 times a day, and the color of my urine is clear or yellowish without any pain. I underwent STD tests, which came out negative. However, the tests indicated the presence of bacteria in my urine, for which the doctor prescribed me a course of 30 Ciprofloxacin tablets, which I have completed. What further steps should I take to resolve this issue?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching us at icliniq.com.

I am here to provide expert opinions on your medical issues. Based on the information you provided, it seems that you experience urination mostly in drops. Additionally, I would like to know if you have to strain while passing urine and how long you have been experiencing these symptoms. From the information provided, there are two possibilities: Urine outlet obstruction, leading to a slow flow, or weak urinary bladder, which is unable to efficiently empty the urine. In both cases, treatment is necessary to prevent further damage to the urinary system.

I hope this has helped you. Please follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
