Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

These spots occur due to infections like Candida. If you have not had unprotected sex, this can be due to allergies or bacterial infection. I would like to see a picture of it. Did it appear after intercourse? Do you have any itching or discharge?

I hope this information helps provide some insight into your symptoms.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I never had sex, nor am I involved in any sexual activities. I guess some white liquid is seen under the foreskin. The itching is not there, but I find it a little painful to pull back my foreskin. It hurts even if it gets touched from outside. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

You should not be ignoring this. This picture (attachments removed to protect patient identity) looks like genital herpes, a viral infection that can spread anywhere. Blood tests should be done for herpes and a complete blood count. Consider taking Tablet Acyclovir 200 mg (anti-viral) four times daily for five days. Apply ointment Acyclovir on it twice a day. Consult your doctor and take the medicine accordingly. Do this for five days and let me know the results afterward. Do not worry. It will be fine. Please maintain general hygiene. Do not touch it with your hands.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I doubt that herpes is an STD (sexually transmitted disease). How could I get this without any sexual contact?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

STDs come from sexual contact. But herpes can come from anywhere. It is not transmitted only through sexual contact.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been tested HLA B27 positive. I had conjunctivitis earlier, after which I got back pain, and then herpes, following which I got swelling in my knee. I consulted a rheumatologist, and she suspected that it may be reactive arthritis due to which knee swelling, joint pain, and muscle inflammation are there. My ESR and CRP are high. I am sharing my updated picture after five days of medication. I am continuing that medication. Also, I have found some red spots on the back of my thighs. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

If herpes is confirmed in laboratory reports, it will take time to resolve, as you have it for a long time. You need to follow proper treatment. I am increasing your dosage Please take tablet Acyclovir (antiviral) 400 mg three times a day after meal for five days. Apply ointment Calamine (anti-itch body lotion) on rashes for five days. Wash clothes with warm water daily. Maintain general hygiene. If still does not resolve, do then let me know after five days. We can go for further management. It will take time to resolve. Avoid any kind of sexual contact.

I hope this information helps provide some insight into your symptoms.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you.
