Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My baby was playing with the hand sanitizer, and I think she would have licked or taken some hand sanitizer. Still, she has not shown any symptoms now (it has been 20 minutes). Will something abnormal happen. Will she be alright when she has intaken the hand sanitizer? Kindly guide me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing, and I understand your concern. If you are sure, you should take her to the hospital for examination; if you are unsure and think that only a small amount is taken, then do not worry. Just observe her symptoms; she might show symptoms like drowsy, vomiting, nausea, and foams from the mouth; in such case, you should take her to the hospital. You can smell her mouth and see if there is any smell? Please check if her mouth is red from the inside or not? Please check and let me know.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
