Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 18 years old. I am about 5 feet 1 inch only. I would like to increase my height. I eat well and exercise regularly. Is there any supplements that I can have? Name them if possible. I would also like to know if they have any side effects.

Thank you.

Hi,

I appreciate that you have chosen icliniq.com for your medical needs.

I am here to give you the best care possible.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I understand you are having constitutional short stature. Your stature depends on your overall nutritional status, your mid-parental height, your genetic predisposition, your ethnicity, etc. You have mentioned that you are 18 years old, which means bone growth has been achieved to its maximum, and therefore nothing much can be suggested at this age. Any intervention at this age will be associated with a lot of adverse effects. Your weight is albeit very low and I suggest that you take a good well-balanced diet, including lots of proteins like eggs, chicken, and fish. I would suggest destressing yourself by doing some exercises daily or yoga or meditation. Relaxing our mind and body helps our internal nourishment and will help with weight gain.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
