Hi doctor,

I have attached a few pictures. Could you suggest to me what could be this purple thing on my anus? I started using Faktu ointment (1 gm of ointment contains 50 mg of Policresulen and 10 mg of Cinchocaine Hydrochloride). Is this hemorrhoid or cancer?

Hi doctor,

I have been using Faktu ointment, and I should also mention I had occasional sharp pain a year ago under my left breast. I thought it was due to Helicobacter pylori infection, but no. I got it eradicated. Now I do not feel sharp pain but have a dull one, which comes from my colon or something. I have been stressed for over a year. I could not get it checked because of the corona. What could it be? LDH in my blood is not elevated. Can you suggest what I can do before I visit a doctor? I am scared of colonoscopy. Should I instead try Hepathrombin H rectal ointment (Sodium heparin, Prednisolone acetate, and Polidocanol)? Kindly help me.

I suggest you continue Faktu ointment (Policresulen and Cinchocaine Hydrochloride) if it is helpful as it is a non-steroid cream. Colonoscopy is ideal to rule out any pathology. I also suggest using Hepathrombin H ointment (Sodium heparin, Prednisolone acetate, and Polidocanol) for as long as it is essential because prolonged use can cause fungal infection. As hemorrhoid is a lifestyle disease, I suggest you change the lifestyle as mentioned below.

1. Drink more water, at least two liters daily.

2. Eat fruits such as bananas (not fruit juice) and well-cooked vegetables.

3. Increase your physical activities such as walking, yoga, etc.

4. Avoid sitting for long periods. Walk for 10 minutes after sitting for two hours.

5. Make sure that your stool is soft.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
