Hi doctor,

My blood test findings are PCV 50.60 %, RBC count 5.70 million per millimeters, hemoglobin 17.0 g/dl, and ESR 35 millimeters. I am taking tablet Cefuroxime 500 mg twice a day. Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Your RBC (red blood cell ) count and PCV (packed cell volume) are borderline. But that might be due to dehydration caused by less fluid intake. Kindly provide any cardiac or respiratory cause, as it can lead to secondary erythrocytosis findings. You must repeat your complete blood count after one week and revert to me. Kindly attach your report as I could not able to open this file.

I hope the information will help.

Thank you.
